Project Goal

The Easter Attacks which took place in April 2019 took a toll on the Sri Lankan tourism industry. The attacks caused many properties to either completely cease their operations or offer their services at extremely low prices. Owl & the Pussycat Hotel – a small luxury boutique in Galle – is one such property that was forced to re-strategize their brand communication, to establish The Runcible Spoon Restaurant as a stand-alone entity in the hotel.

Solution

First and foremost, the staff at the Runcible Spoon Restaurant were briefed on how the restaurant will be focused highly. Next was to raise awareness among the locals about the restaurant through social media profiles. For this purpose, we created separate social media profiles on Facebook, Instagram & Twitter. The main priority was given to Instagram as we could reach our target audience effectively.
